Typhoon and Rainstorm Arrangements
Office Hours
If Typhoon Signal no. 8 or Black Rainstorm Warning Signal is hoisted after 8:30am:
- and continues until 12:30pm, our office will be closed for the whole day; or
- but is lowered at or before 12:30pm, then our office will be opened 2 hours thereafter.
Lecture
If, in the following periods, Hong Kong Observatory hoists or announces that Typhoon Signal no. 8 or Black Rainstorm Warning Signal will be hoisted within the next 2 hours:
- 8:30 am - 12:30pm: All day time lecture (10:30am - 6:30pm) will be cancelled.
- 12:30pm - 4:30pm: All lectures in afternoon (2:30pm - 6:30pm) and evening lectures (6:30pm - 9:30pm)will be cancelled.
If Hong Kong Observatory hoists Typhoon Signal no. 8 or Black Rainstorm Warning Signal during a lecture, the lecture will arrange students to leave as early as possible.
Examination
If Typhoon Signal no. 8 or Black Rainstorm Warning Signal is hoisted during examination, examination shall be continued as usual.
Postponement
We shall notify all affected students about the arrangement of postponed lectures or examinations.
